Virtual Center Administrator Portal
This new product offers us a centralized web console from which we can monitor and manage several VirtualCenters. Here are some of its highlighted features:
-Authentication against several VirtualCenters with single sign-on
-Monitoring of events and alarms in several VirtualCenters
-Searches between VirtualCenters
-Basic operations on virtual machines
It is currently available in beta and is distributed as a vApp/Virtual Appliance based in Linux. Will this be the Linux-based vCenter that was discussed in VMworld?
Of course, it is neither a vCenter Server for Linux nor a complete Linux client since managing the environment is very limited: starting, turning off, suspending and viewing the remote console for virtual machines.
